How it works

No account, no install — Python runs right in your browser.

01

Write 6 small programs

Each task gives you the data; you write the code. Tab indents, Ctrl/⌘+Enter checks.

02

Get your skill profile

A score for every Python skill area, and your biggest gap highlighted.

03

Practise the gap

30 Python exercises across six modules. Create a free account if you want to keep your results.

Your code really runs

No keyword matching. Your code is executed and checked against tests — including re-running it with different inputs, so a hard-coded answer won't pass. The first check takes a few seconds while Python loads.

How scores work. Partial credit counts: pass 2 of 3 checks and you score 67 for that skill. Your first result sets each skill's score; practice after that moves it 20% of the way toward each new result.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Take the whole test and see your results without signing up. If you want to keep them, you can create a free account at the end.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, if you score 70 or more. Each task is marked on your first try, and skipped tasks count as zero. Create a free account at the end and you get a certificate with your name on it: a shareable link you can add to LinkedIn or save as a PDF.

Do I need to install Python?

No. It runs in your browser using Pyodide — real Python compiled for the web.

I've never coded before. Is this for me?

The test starts from the basics. If it's all new, start practising with the Python Basics module instead — the first exercises are free.
